IRPA's southwest district will be holding Brown Bag Lunch Series for parks and recreation professionals this fall and winter. Registration is required and in-person series is capped at 20 people, so sign up today!

March 11 we will meet with City of Boise's Parks and Recreation staff from the AdVenture program, meaning Adaptive adVentures, which offers recreation, wilderness excursions, fitness programs, sports and social activities to individuals with disabilities, their families and friends. 

Their mission: AdVEnture is committed to providing quality sports, recreation and outdoor adventures for people of all abilities. By taking place in the most intgrated setting, the AdVenture program shall promote self-confidence, wellness and physical fitness leading to a more independent lifestyle.

How does AdVenture offer such a variety and how to they fund and staff each adventure? How can we learn more about their operation in order to offer such programming in your area?

BYOLunch and IRPA will supply beverages and dessert!

 FAQ's?

  1. Do I need to be a member of IRPA to attend? No; however, we hope you find value in what IRPA can do for your professional growth and will want to join us.
  2. Do I get CEU's for attending? IRPA members will receive credit for attending. Be sure to sign the registration sheet to make sure you get your 0.1CEU for NRPA's professional certifications. You will be responsible for reporting your CEU's to NRPA.
  3. Is lunch provided? IRPA will provide beverages and dessert for ALL series meet ups. Otherwise you will need to bring your own lunch. VIRTUAL attendees are on their own.
  4. I registered, but now I can't go. No worries, we understand, please cancel your registeration so someone else can attend.
  5. I'm interested in getting the BBL series to come to my City so we can show off our amazing work! GREAT- please get in touch with Tara Woods to get on the schedule.
