March 11 we will meet with City of Boise's Parks and Recreation staff from the AdVenture program, meaning Adaptive adVentures, which offers recreation, wilderness excursions, fitness programs, sports and social activities to individuals with disabilities, their families and friends.
Their mission: AdVEnture is committed to providing quality sports, recreation and outdoor adventures for people of all abilities. By taking place in the most intgrated setting, the AdVenture program shall promote self-confidence, wellness and physical fitness leading to a more independent lifestyle.
How does AdVenture offer such a variety and how to they fund and staff each adventure? How can we learn more about their operation in order to offer such programming in your area?
